Erik Block

Mr. Block is President of Extract Gas Lift Systems, a division of Extract Production Services and serves as an integral member of the Extract Management Team. In this key strategic leadership role, he oversees all areas of the business and provides the short and long-range vision needed to align Extract management and enables them to provide the clear direction needed by their extended teams to deliver outcomes. Mr. Block fosters an environment where safety and innovation are valued and encouraged. He is a collaborative leader and drives continuous improvement across all areas of Extract Gas Lift Systems. Mr. Block develops and leads the growth strategy, demonstrating passion and tenacity in his support of growth strategies and initiatives within competitive markets. He maintains the highest standards of ethics, compliance, standards and industry practices.

Mr. Block is the Managing Member of Easley Well Service, a service rig company as well as the Managing Member of Parsage Oil Company. He has over 20 years of oilfield engineering experience focused in drilling, completions, production and exploitation. Prior to Parsage, Mr. Block spent over 10 years working in various engineering roles for Cimarex Energy and Samson Resources. There, he designed and supervised drilling, completions and production operations in multiple basins covering five states and the Gulf of Mexico.

In 2013, Mr. Block served as an industry consultant where he developed, marketed and licensed a gas lift design program that has been utilized by multiple artificial lift vendor companies. During that time, he also served as Executive Vice President of Operations at Avalon Exploration where he drilled several vertical and horizontal wells in Carter County, Oklahoma. Mr. Block was instrumental in helping the company secure $150 million in funding to develop acreage in the SCOOP play.

Mr. Block graduated with honors from the University of Tulsa with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering. While at TU, he was recognized as an Academic All-Conference recipient while starting for the nationally ranked men’s soccer team. He is a current member in the Society of Petroleum Engineers Mid-Continent Section; where he served as a former Chairman of the Board and helped to initiate the section’s Young Professionals chapter.
